This is a quick tutorial. The tutorial was written using PSP9. You may do in other version of PSP, but locations for effects and adjustments may be located in different areas.

ALPHA CHANNELS used on this tutorial. You will only see the canvas in the downloaded file. Everything you need is on the canvas. Make sure you have your Layer Palette visible. You will Load from the Alpha Channel unless you are using versions below 8.

Save to a location of your choice.

Open Frog ©2007 Carla Polston canvas and fillcp pattern

Materials Palette - Click on the Foreground Fill
Select the fillcp pattern as a pattern.

Angle: 0
Scale: 30

Flood fill background layer to help you see better if you would like to. I use white. You can delete this layer before you merge.

Leg1
Click on leg1-cp layer on Layer Palette
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – leg1-cp
Flood Fill: pattern or your choice
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – detail1-cp
Adjust - Brightness and Contrast - May need to adjust for color or pattern you used.

Brightness: -80
Contrast: 35

SAVE

Eye 1
Click on eye1-cp layer on Layer Palette
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – eye1-cp
Flood Fill: #444d35 or your choice
SAVE

Body
Click on body-cp layer on Layer Palette
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – body-cp
Flood Fill: pattern or your choice
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – detail2-cp
Adjust - Brightness and Contrast - Same settings
SAVE

Leg2
Click on leg2-cp layer on Layer Palette
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – leg2-cp
Flood Fill: pattern or your choice
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – detail3-cp
Adjust - Brightness and Contrast - Same settings
SAVE

Leg3
Click on leg3-cp layer on Layer Palette
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – leg3-cp
Flood Fill: pattern or your choice
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – detail4-cp
Adjust - Brightness and Contrast - Same settings
SAVE

Head
Click on head-cp layer on Layer Palette
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – head-cp
Flood Fill: pattern or your choice
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – detail5-cp
Adjust - Brightness and Contrast - Same settings
SAVE

Eye2
Click on eye2-cp layer on Layer Palette
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – eye2-cp
Flood Fill: Black or your choice
SAVE

Eye3
Click on eye3-cp layer on Layer Palette
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – eye3-cp
Flood Fill: #444d35 or your choice
SAVE

Nostril
Click on nostril-cp layer on Layer Palette
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – nostril-cp
Flood Fill: Black or your choice (click a few times)
SAVE

Optional - Use Lighten/Darken Brush to lighten some areas.
Here are the settings I used. Vary the size (3-14).

Delete background layer if you made one and merge visible.
