
Frosted and Clear Bell
(Many possibilities with you favorite fills.)

Please make sure you have read them.I wrote directions with node editing. If you really dread the
thought of node editing, I included the selections. : )
Preparation:My Bells Supplies which you can DOWNLOAD HERE
Place selections in PSP selections folder.
I make a new folder and name it in order to find easier.Open images from downloaded file and place in folder of your choice.
Open new transparent image 300 x 300.
Make sure your Layer Palette is displayed.
** Remember to save often! **You may want to flood fill the bottom layer a
darker color to help you see the images better.We'll build the bell first.

RIM
*Preset shape - Ellipse - Stroked - Width 5 - Color light (I used white.)
- Antialias & Vector checked.
*Draw long narrow oval and drag to bottom to place.
*Convert to raster and name rim.
~ If using selections, load d-rim.sel and flood fill on a new layer ~
Save!
INSIDE RIM
*Use Magic Wand - Click inside the rim.
*Selections -0 Modify - Expand 2.
*New Layer - Name inside - Flood fill (bucket)
~ If using selections, load b-inside.sel and flood fill on a new layer ~
Save!TOP
*You may want to change the color to another light color to help you see.
I used the lightest yellow from the color palette.
*See images for node placement and editing.
Don't forget to click on Vector Object Selection Tool (Arrow).
*When your satisfied with the shape of your bell, convert to raster and name top.
~ If using selections, load c-top.sel and flood fill on a new layer ~
Save!

HANDLE
*New Layer - Name handle.
*Use any shape you like at the top. I just used Ellipse - Stroked - Width 8.
*Drag layer just above Layer 1 on Layer Palette.
*Click on top bell layer on Layer Palette.
*Use Magic Wand and click on background. Selections - Modify - Contract 1.
*Click back on handle layer in Layer Palette and hit the Delete Key on your keyboard.
~ If using selections, load a-handle.sel and flood fill on a new layer ~
Save!
Now for the shadows!!!!INSIDE SHADOW
*Click on Layer - inside - on Layer Palette.
*Float (Ctrl A & F)
*New Layer - name inside shadow.
*Images - Effects - Cutout - Fill not checked - Black - Opacity 50 - Blur 15 -
Vertical & Horizontal 0.
*Defloat (Ctrl D)
Save!TOP SHADOW
*Click on Layer - top - on Layer Palette.
*Float (Ctrl A & F)
*New Layer - name top shadow.
*Images - Effects - Cutout - Blur 48 - Other settings stay the same.
*Defloat (Ctrl D)
Save!
RIM SHADOW
*On Layer Palette drag rim layer to top (or Layers - Arrange - Bring to Top).
*Float (Ctrl A & F)
*New Layer - name rim shadow.
*Images - Effects - Cutout - Blur 5.5 - Other settings stay the same.
*Defloat (Ctrl D)
Save!CLEAN IMAGE
*Click on top bell layer - Magic Wand - click on background - Selections -
Modify - Feather 2 - Hit Delete Key on your keyboard 3 or 4 times.CLAPPER
You may use my clapper or create one of your own.
Click on inside shadow layer for correct placement.
Open my image and drag clapper for Layer Palette
to the image you are working on.
Use mover tool to place.
Duplicate and save original to create other bells.

Let the fun begin!!!!
FROSTED LOOK
To create a frosted look - Click on inside layer on Layer Palette.
Use Magic Wand to select inside the bell.
Flood fill with your color choice (I used white).
Bring Layer Opacity down to what ever you like
to create the frosted look (I used 57%).
Do the same with the top and rim layer.CLEAR LOOK
This one is really simple : ) Just delete the inside, top,
and rim layers on Layer Palette. Right click and select delete.EXTRA FUN!!!!
You can use all sorts of fills behind the clear bell to create a new instant bell.
For lighter background fills use the black color shadow on cutouts.For darker background fills use the white color for shadow on cutouts.
