This tutorial uses a different technique.  You will only see the canvas in the downloaded file.  Everything you need is on the canvas.  Make sure you have your Layer Palette visible.  You will Load from the Alpha Channel (not Selections).

Download Supplies HERE 

Duplicate (Shift D) and close original to save for another use.
Save in PSP format and name as you wish.

Prepare Gradient
Set Foreground to a lighter color of your choice (#6384FF)
Set Background to a darker color of your choice (#0B326D)
Set Foreground to Sunburst fill.

  • Foreground-Background
We will change angles for fills as we go.
You may want to experiment with these settings.
You can come up with many interesting effects.

Click on ribbon1-cp layer on Layer Palette.
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – ribbon1-cp
Flood Fill with the Sunburst Gradient
  • Repeats 1
  • Horizontal 53
  • Vertical 20
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – ribbon2-cp
Flood Fill with the Sunburst Gradient - Same setting
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – ribbon3-cp
Flood Fill with the Sunburst Gradient
  • Repeats 1
  • Horizontal 65
  • Vertical 24
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – ribbon4-cp
Flood Fill with the Sunburst Gradient
  • Repeats 1
  • Horizontal 23
  • Vertical 25
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – ribbon5-cp
Flood Fill with the Sunburst Gradient
  • Repeats 1
  • Horizontal 48
  • Vertical 45
Click on ribbon2-cp layer on Layer Palette.
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – ribbon6-cp
Flood Fill #FCB63C (or your choice)

Do Not Merge Visible
I would save this original without merging.
Then you can Colorize or adjust Brightness/Contrast and get many different colored bows.
