I would like to thank Addy for inspiring me to write a tutorial for these candles!

(Written using PSP 6)

My Supplies which you can DOWNLOAD HERE

I make a new folder for selections and name it in order to find easier.

Open images from downloaded file and place in folder of your choice.
New Transparent Image 200 x 200

TOP
Selections – Load from Disk - candle.sel (smaller candle) - candle3.sel (larger candle)
Flood fill (bucket) – White
Float (Ctrl F)
Image – Effects – Cutout – Black – Opacity 100 – Blur 7.1 – Vertical & Horizontal 0
Defloat (Ctrl D)
BOTTOM
New Layer
Selections – Load from Disk – candle1.sel (smaller candle) - candle4.sel (larger candle)
Flood fill (bucket) – strips pattern
Float (Ctrl F)
*** New Layer***
Image – Effects – Cutout – Black – Opacity 100 – Blur 22 – Vertical & Horizontal 0
Eraser – Square – Size, Hardness, & Opacity 50 – Step1 – Density 100.
Place as seen in image and click 3 to 4 times.

Defloat (Ctrl D)
OTHER COLORS
Duplicate (Shift D) now if you want to make other colors.  Then click on the bottom layer of the candle (Layer 2).
Use Colors – Colorize to change colors.

Layers – Merge Visible
Magic Wand – Click on background.
Selections – Modify – Feather 3 – Hit Delete key on keyboard 4 to 5 times.
Right click back on background with Magic Wand still selected to defloat.
Image – Sharpen - Sharpen
Open my flame image – Drag from Layer Palette to the image you are working on – Use Mover Tool to place.
Layers Merge Visible – SAVE!!!
