This tutorial uses a different technique.  You will only see the canvas in the downloaded file.  Everything you need is on the canvas.  Make sure you have your Layer Palette visible.  You will Load from the Alpha Channel (not Selections).

Download Supplies HERE 

Duplicate (Shift D) and close original to save for another use.
Save in PSP format and name as you wish.

Have you Layer Palette open

I left a background layer so you can flood fill to help you see better. You can delete it when you are finished.

Click on handle-cp layer on Layer Palette.
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – handle-cp
Flood Fill with color you your choice (#FCB63C) click twice.

Click on cone-cp layer on Layer Palette.
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – cone-cp
Flood Fill with color you your choice (#253F6A).
Effects - 3D - Inner Bevel - You will need to change the color to a lighter shade of the color you filled with. I used #BADAE2.


Click on ribbon1-cp layer on Layer Palette.
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – ribbon1-cp
Flood Fill #FCB63C

Click on ribbon2-cp layer on Layer Palette.
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – ribbon2-cp
Flood Fill with the Linear Gradient
Set Foreground to a lighter color of your choice (#F0EBE4)
Set Background to a darker color of your choice (#E9DBDD)
Set Foreground to Linear fill.

  • Foreground-Background
  • Angle 100
  • Repeats 0
  • Invert not checked
Click on ribbon21-cp layer on Layer Palette.
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – ribbon2-cp
Flood Fill #00FF00 or your choice. Click several times.D

Do Not Merge Visible
I would save this original without merging.
Then you can Colorize or adjust Brightness/Contrast and get many different colors.
