I would consider this tutorial more advanced because of the use of the Retouch Tool to add detail.

This tutorial uses a different technique.  You will only see the canvas in the downloaded file.  Everything you need is on the canvas.  Make sure you have your Layer Palette visible.  You will Load from the Alpha Channel (not Selections).

You will be using the Retouch Tool to add detail on this tutorial!
I would consider this tutorial a little more advanced.

I left a background layer for you to flood fill to help you see better.  You can delete this layer before merging.

NECK
Click on neck layer on Layer Palette
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – neck
Flood Fill #CDAA8D
Deselect (Ctrl D)
Unlock Transparency (Far right of Layer Palette)

Effects – 3D – Cutout
     Vertical & Horizontal 0
     Opacity 100
     Blur 25
     Color #57310B
SAVE

MOCCASIN
Click on shoes layer on Layer Palette
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – shoes
Flood Fill #C8AF98
Use the Retouch Tool - Darken RGB

Darken top of moccasin detail with Size 4
Change Size to 10 and darken bottom
SAVE

PANTS
Click on pants layer on Layer Palette
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – pants
Flood Fill #C3AD8D
Deselect (Ctrl D)
Use the Retouch Tool – Lightness to Target
Set your Foreground Color to #725D40
Add detail to pants.

Change Size to 5 to define creases in pants
Change to Size 35 and go over outside edge and center of pants.
Remember (Ctrl Z) if you do not like something. 
SAVE

SHIRT
Click on shirt layer on Layer Palette
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – shirt
Flood Fill #C3AD8D
We’ll come back and add the detail to the shirt later.
SAVE

FEATHER
Click on feather layer on Layer Palette
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – feather
I filled with a gradient.  You may use your choice of colors.
If you want to use the same gradient I did:
     Set foreground to #C00000
     Set background to #57310B

Effects – Noise – Add – 10 Uniform
Repeat a couple of times depending on color used
SAVE

HEAD
Click on head layer on Layer Palette
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – head
Flood Fill #CDAA8D
Deselect (Ctrl D)
Unlock Transparency (Far right of Layer Palette)
Effects – 3D – Cutout
     Blur 35
     Other settings the same
SAVE

FACE & FISH
Click on red X’s on glasses of the face & fish layers on Layer Palette.

HANDS
Click on hands layer on Layer Palette
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – hands
Flood Fill #CDAA8D
Deselect (Ctrl D)
Unlock Transparency (Far right of Layer Palette)
Effects – 3D – Cutout
     Opacity 75
     Blur 25
     Other settings the same
Retouch Tool – Darken RGB
     Size 4
     Other settings the same
SAVE

ARM SHADOW
Click on arm shadow layer on Layer Palette
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – arm shadow
Flood Fill #725D40

SHIRT DETAIL
Click back on shirt layer on Layer Palette
Use the Retouch Tool – Lightness to Target
Start with Size 35 to go around edges and where you may want to put crease.
Size 6 for a couple of short strokes over crease detail
 Retouch Tool - Darken RGB
     Step 1
     Other settings the same
Draw line down center of shirt
     Change Opacity to 100
Hold down Shift key and zigzag back and forth across the line.
I did the same zigzag along bottom sleeve
Paint Brush – Same color #725D40

SAVE

HEAD BAND & NECKLACE
Click on red X’s on glasses of the head band & necklace layers on Layer Palette.

HAIR
Click on hair layer on Layer Palette
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – hair
Flood Fill #594E41
Deselect (Ctrl D)
Retouch Tool – Lightness to Target
Foreground Color #D7D1B3
     Size 10
     Density 50
Add some highlighted areas to hair
Retouch Tool – Darken RGB
     Opacity 20
     Step 25
     Other settings the same
Darken over where ever you feel necessary
Effects – Blur – Motion Blur
     Angle 180
     Pixel 6
Load hair from Alpha Channel again 
Selections – Invert
Selections – Modify – Contract 1
Hit Delete key on keyboard
SAVE

When you’re satisfied, you may delete the background layer and merge visible.
I went back and use the Darken RGB to add more detail to the feather and Lighten RGB to highlight shirt and pants.
