This tutorial uses a different technique.  You will only see the canvas in the downloaded file.  Everything you need is on the canvas.  Make sure you have your Layer Palette visible.  You will Load from the Alpha Channel (not Selections).

This tutorial uses the Retouch Tool to add detail!

You may want to flood fill to help you see better.  You can delete this layer before merging.

FORM
Click on form layer on Layer Palette
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – form
Flood Fill Black
Selections – Invert
Effects – 3D – Drop Shadow
     Vertical & Horizontal 0
     Opacity 50
     Blur 40
     Color White
We’ll go back and add some detail in a bit.
SAVE

SHOES
Stay on form layer on Layer Palette
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – shoes
Effects – 3D – Drop Shadow
     Vertical 4
     Horizontal 0
     Opacity 30
     Blur 3
     Color White
Selections – Invert
Effects – 3D – Drop Shadow
     Opacity 50
     Blur 20
     Other settings the same
SAVE

ARMS
Click on arms layer on Layer Palette
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – arms
Flood Fill #DFC3A7
Selections – Invert
Effects – 3D – Drop Shadow
     Vertical (-6)
     Horizontal 0
     Opacity 80
     Blur 20
     Color #9D7853
Effects – 3D – Drop Shadow
     Vertical 0
     Blur 10
     Other settings the same
Deselect (Ctrl D)
Retouch Tool – Darken RGB
     Round
     Size 3
     Hardness 25
     Opacity 20
     Step 5
     Density 100
Draw finger lines
     Change Size and Step to 25 
Add more arm, hand, and wrist detail.
     Change Size to 10
Darken where edge of sleeve meets the arm
SAVE

SHIRT
Click on shirt layer on Layer Palette
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – shirt
Flood Fill #5F607F
Selections – Invert
Effects – 3D – Drop Shadow
     Vertical & Horizontal 0
     Opacity 80
     Blur 30
     Color Black
SAVE

HEAD
Click on head layer on Layer Palette
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – head
Flood Fill #DFC3A7
Selections – Invert
Effects – 3D – Drop Shadow
     Vertical & Horizontal 0
     Opacity 80
     Blur 30
     Color #9D7853
Deselect (Ctrl D)
Retouch Tool – Darken RGB
     Size 20 to darken neck 
     Change size to 5 and add another line where chin and neck meet
     Add some detail to the ears
     Change size to 10 and darken some along hair line
SAVE

FACE
Click on red X on glasses on the face layer
SAVE

BODY DETAIL
Click back on form
Retouch Tool – Lighten RGB
     Round
     Size 3
     Hardness 25
     Opacity 100
     Step 35
     Density 100
Draw in pants detail.  Click at top of shoes – Hold down Shift key – Click at top of pants line.  You may have to do this a couple of times.  Holding down the shift key gives you a straight line.
     Change Size to 50
Add some rib detail to wings
     Change Size to 5
Highlight shoes
SAVE

You may delete background and merge visible.
