BY...doing this tutorial you are agreeing to the Terms of Use
Please
make sure you have read them.
This tutorial was written in PSP9 beta for learning purposes. It is for the more advanced PSP users. It will use preset shapes no editing, making a gradient, and creating a Bump Map use with Balls and Bubbles. You can do in other versions, but some tools are named differently and you will not be able to use Balls and Bubbles in PSP7 and under. You can experiment with Cut Out or use Inner Bevel in place of the Balls and Bubbles.
Make sure your Layer Palette is visible (F8)
When you finish this image, it is yours to do with as you wish since I am only providing the technique. The work will be yours. The tutorial itself still follows my Terms of Use.
If you are using PSP7 or below, you can go down to just before Wings.
First we will create the gradient to use.
Foreground Fill - White
Background Fill - #404040
On the Materials Palette, click on the Foreground Gradient Tab
Select Edit on the Material Properties pop-up.
The next pop-up will be the Gradient Editor.
Select the New button
A New Gradient pop-up will appear. Type the name you want to use. I called mine stripes.
- On the Gradient Editor pop-up, look in the boxed area that says Gradient.
- You will notice the Fore: will have the White Foreground color and the Back: will have the #404040.
- Click on the crayon looking icon to the left and click on the Fore: box showing the white.
- Click on the crayon looking icon to the left and click on the Fore: box showing the #404040.
- Now click toward the center to add a new crayon looking icon. The placement should be at 50%. You can see this in the Location box.
- Click a touch to the left of the center crayon icon to create another one.
- Click on the Fore: box to make this one white.
- Slide over to the Location of 50%.
