Animated Raindrops
BY...doing this tutorial you are agreeing to the Terms of Use
Please
make sure you have read them.

Make sure you have your Layer Palette (F8).
In this tutorial, you will make a pixel raindrop, export it to tubes and then tube it onto several layers. After it is set up, you will open Animation Shop to create the animation.
The Raindrop
Decide how large you want the raindrop to be. I made a small one, so I used a canvas size of 10 X 10. If you want a larger one, start with a larger canvas size.
New Transparent image on Raster Background - pick size (10 X 10)
Magnify to help you see.
Use your choice of colors. Here is an example of mine.

File - Export - Picture Tube
- Cells across, Cells down, Total cells: 1
- Placement mode: Random
- Step Size: 200
- Selection Mode: Random
- Scale: 100
- Tube name: Name as you wish
- OK button
Save your original image to a location of your choice if you want to.
Preparing for Animation
Using and Image
Open the image you want to animate or a New Transparent image on Raster Background the size you need.
Right click on the bottom layer on the Layer Palette and Duplicate a few times. I duplicated 3 times for a total of 4 layers.
Click on the bottom layer on the Layer Palette
Select - Picture Tube Tool
Use the drop down to find the tube you created.
Tube in random locations on this layer.
Click on the next layer up and place some random drops on it.
Continue with the next few layers you created.
Remember to SAVE as you work.
You can open my sample in Animation Shop and look at the frames (layers).
Animate
Open Animation Shop
Edit - Select All (Ctrl+A)
Animation - Frame Properties
Select the number you want for Display time. The lower the number the faster the rain will fall.
You can view your animation and adjust the time to your liking. View - Animation.
When you like what you have, File - Save and Name
I put the slider on quality at the top and just keep tapping Next until finished.
You’re finished!
Hope you have enjoyed this
tutorial.
