Preparation:
I use the shortcut keys on the keyboard while creating graphics, so you may want to become familiar with these. I will remind you of what they are on the first few steps. Of course, you can always use the Menu Bar.

Float:
Ctrl A and Ctrl F (Ctrl A actually selects all)
Defloat:
Ctrl D
Copy:
Ctrl C
Paste
as new selection: Ctrl E
Let's get started!
Open
new transparent image 310 x 274.
Save
as, in psp format to a folder of your choice.
Remember
to save often!
WINGS
Add
new layer. Selections - - Load from disk cp-wings.sel.
Fill
with your choice of color.
Keep
selected.
Airbrush
- - Round - - Size 115 - - Hardness 9 - - Opacity 18 - - Step 25 - - Density
4.
Spray
a few shades darker than fill.
Keep
selected.
Float
(Cntl F).
Apply
Cutout - - Fill interior not checked - - same shadow color you sprayed
- - Opacity 62 - - Blur 13.4 - - Vertical and Horizontal 0 * throughout

Defloat.
HEAD
Add
new layer.
Selections
- - Load from disk cp-head.sel.
Fill
with color #E4DBC8. Keep selected.
Float
(Cntl F).
Apply
Cutout using shadow color #422D1A and increasing blur to 24.4. Other settings
remain the same.
Defloat.
FACE
Open
cp-heartangelface and copy as a new layer.
Use
Mover Tool to place.
You
can actually just drag the face layer from the Layer Palette to the image
your working on and it will paste it as a new layer.
HAIR
Add
new layer.
Selections
- - Load from disk cp-hair.sel.
Fill
with color your color choice. I used #6F492B. Keep selected.
Float
(Cntl F).
Apply
Cutout increasing opacity to 100. Other settings remain the same. If you
use a different color for the hair, you may want to change the shadow color
on the cutout.
Defloat.
HEART
Add
new layer.
Selections
- - Load from disk cp-heart.sel.
Fill
with color, pattern, and/or texture.
Be
creative!!!
I
applied a cutout to mine.
Defloat.
HANDS
Add
new layer.
Selections
- - Load from disk cp-righthand.sel. Fill with color #E4DBC8. Keep selected.
Float
(Cntl F).
Apply
Cutout using shadow color #422D1A - - Opacity 62 - - Blur 11. Other settings
remain the same.
Defloat.
Add
new layer.
Use
Draw Tool - - Color #422D1A - - Freehand - - Stroked - - Width 1 - - Antialias
checked - - Vector unchecked.
Draw
lines for fingers.
Bring
layer opacity down to 30.
Check
all layers off except two hand layers and merge visible.
Now
you can duplicate this layer, mirror, and move in place or repeat the steps
using cp-lefthand.sel.
HALO
Add
new layer.
Selections
- - Load from disk cp-halo.sel.sel.
Fill
with your color choice.
Be
creative!!!
I
applied a cutout to mine.
FINISH
I
went back and soften around the edges of some of the layers before merging.
Here
are the settings I used: Retouch Tool - - Soften - - Round - - Size 6 -
- Hardness 23 - - Opacity 41 - - Step 6 - - Density 100.
