This tutorial uses a different technique.  You will only see the canvas in the downloaded file.  Everything you need is on the canvas.  Make sure you have your Layer Palette visible.  You will Load from the Alpha Channel (not Selections).

Download Supplies HERE 

GINGERBREAD BASE
Please go HERE and complete the base for all the gingerbread series.
Have the image open and ready to use along with the open canvas for this tutorial.

Duplicate (Shift D) and close original to save for another use.
Save in PSP format and name as you wish.

I left a background layer.
You may want to flood fill to help you see better.
You can delete this layer before merging.
Have you Layer Palette open

GINGERBREAD
Click on gbread-cp layer on Layer Palette.
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – ggbread-cp
Click on the base image (Ctrl C) to copy.
Click back on the gingerbread sunny image (Ctrl+Shift+L) to paste into selection.

SWIMMING SUIT
Click on swimsuit-cp layer on Layer Palette.
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – swimsuit-cp
Flood Fill #FF0000
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – detail 1-cp.
Flood Fill #400000

BEACH BALL
Click on ball 1-cp layer on Layer Palette.
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – ball 1-cp
Flood Fill #FFFF00 and #00FF00
To fill with different colors - Change the Match mode to RGB on the Tool Options and make sure Sample merged is not checked.
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – ball 2-cp
Flood Fill #0000FF and #FF0000
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – ball 3-cp
Flood Fill White
Don't forget to change the Match mode back to None.
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – detail2
Flood Fill Black (Click a few times.)

SUN GLASSES
Click on glasses 1-cp layer on Layer Palette.
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – glasses 1-cp
Flood Fill #53546D
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – glasses 2-cp
Flood Fill White
Effects - 3D - Inner Bevel - Jasc Round setting from the drop down menu change:

  • Angle to 0
  • Color #00FF00

You may delete background layer (bottom layer), merge visible and SAVE!
