Gingerbread Doctor

This tutorial uses a different technique.  You will only see the canvas in the downloaded file.  Everything you need is on the canvas.  Make sure you have your Layer Palette visible.  You will Load from the Alpha Channel (not Selections).

GINGERBREAD BASE
Please go HERE and complete the base for all the gingerbread series.
Have the image open and ready to use along with the open canvas for this tutorial.

Duplicate (Shift D) and close original to save for another use.
Save in PSP format and name as you wish.

I left a background layer.
You may want to flood fill to help you see better.
You can delete this layer before merging.
Have you Layer Palette open

GINGERBREAD
Click on gb base-cp layer on Layer Palette.
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – gb base-cp
Click on the premade base image (Ctrl C) to copy.
Click back on the gingerbread base layer of the new image (Ctrl+Shift+L) to paste into selection.

COAT
Click on coat-cp layer on Layer Palette.
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – coat-cp
Flood Fill #9DB69C
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – detail1-cp
Adjust Brightness/Contrast (Shift+B)

• Brightness (-100)
• Contrast 50

THERMOMETER
Click on thermometer1-cp layer on Layer Palette.
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – thermometer1-cp
Flood Fill #C00000 (Click twice)
Click on thermometer2-cp layer on Layer Palette.
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – thermometer2-cp
Flood Fill #C0C0C0 (Click twice)
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – detail2-cp
Flood Fill Black
Right click on therometer2-cp on Layer Palette and Duplicate
Select None (Ctrl+D)
Effects - 3D - Drop Shadow

• Vertical & Horizontal: 0
• Opacity: 100
• Blur: 4
• Color: Black

TONGUE DEPRESSOR
Click on tongue depressor-cp layer on Layer Palette.
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – tongue depressor-cp
Flood Fill #D0BB8A
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – detail3-cp
Adjust Brightness/Contrast - Same settings Select None (Ctrl+D) Adjust - Add Noise - 10% Uniform SAVE

STETHOSCOPE
Click on stethoscope-cp layer on Layer Palette.
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – stethoscope1-cp
Flood Fill #C0C0C0
Effects - 3D - Inner Bevel with settings below:


Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – stethoscope2-cp
Flood Fill Black
Effects - 3D - Inner Bevel- Jasc Round settings changing:

• Smoothness: 30
• Angle: 280

• Vertican & Horizontal: 2
• Opacity: 100
• Blur: 4
• Color: Black

You may delete background layer (bottom layer), merge visible and SAVE!
