Gingerbread Indian

This tutorial uses a different technique.  You will only see the canvas in the downloaded file.  Everything you need is on the canvas.  Make sure you have your Layer Palette visible.  You will Load from the Alpha Channel (not Selections).

Download Supplies HERE 

Duplicate (Shift D) and close original to save for another use.
Save in PSP format and name as you wish.

I left a background layer.
You may want to flood fill to help you see better.
You can delete this layer before merging.
Have you Layer Palette open

GINGERBREAD BASE
Please go HERE and complete the base for all the gingerbread series.
Have the image open and ready to use along with the open canvas for this tutorial.

FEATHER
Click on feather-cp layer on Layer Palette.
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – ggbreadfeather-cp.
Flood fill #E1C969.
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – detail 1-cp
Flood fill #AF5C30.

GINGERBREAD
Click on gbread base layer on Layer Palette.
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – ggbread-cp
Click on the base image (Ctrl C) to copy.
Click back on the gingerbread indian image (Ctrl+Shift+L) to paste into selection.

HEADBAND
Click on front headband1-cp layer on Layer Palette.
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – headband1-cp.
Flood Fill #933903.
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – headband2-cp.
If you would like to use more than one color here, change the Match Mode to RGB on the Tools Options.
Flood Fill #FFFF00 & #67B3A4

BOW
Click on bow-cp layer on Layer Palette.
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – string-cp.
Flood Fill #4E1E14 (You'll probably want to magnify).
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – bow-cp.

Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – detail 3-cp.
Flood Fill #3F1F09.
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – bow grip-cp.
Flood Fill #F8E598.
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – detail 4-cp.

ARROW
Click on arrow-cp layer on Layer Palette.
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – shaft-cp.
Flood Fill #B55F25.
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – detail 5-cp.
Flood Fill #Black.
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – tip-cp.
Flood Fill #C0C0C0.
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – detail 6-cp.
Flood Fill Black.
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – guides-cp.
I used Jasc Woodgrain Patter to fill.
Make sure Match Mode is still set to RGB on Tool Options.
Left Side
*Angle 20
*Scale 20
Right Side
*Change angle to 130
You may want to change the Match Mode setting back to none.

You may delete background layer (bottom layer), merge visible and SAVE!
