Gingerbread Mrs. Clause

This tutorial uses a different technique.  You will only see the canvas in the downloaded file.  Everything you need is on the canvas.  Make sure you have your Layer Palette visible.  You will Load from the Alpha Channel (not Selections).

Download Supplies HERE 

Duplicate (Shift D) and close original to save for another use.
Save in PSP format and name as you wish.

I left a background layer.
You may want to flood fill to help you see better.
You can delete this layer before merging.
Have you Layer Palette open

GINGERBREAD BASE
Please go HERE and complete the base for all the gingerbread series.
Have the image open and ready to use along with the open canvas for this tutorial.

GINGERBREAD
Click on gbread base layer on Layer Palette.
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – ggbread-cp
Click on the base image (Ctrl C) to copy.
Click back on the gingerbread santa image (Ctrl+Shift+L) to paste into selection.

TRIM
Click on front trim-cp layer on Layer Palette.
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – trim-cp.
Flood Fill White.
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – detail 1-cp
Flood Fill #CB9F59

DRESS AND HAT
Click on dress and hat-cp layer on Layer Palette.
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – dress and hat-cp
Flood Fill #C00000.
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – detail 2-cp.
Adjust - Brightness and Contrast - Brightness/Contrast (Shift B)

• Brightness (-175)
• Contrast 0

HAT TIE
Click on hat tie-cp layer on Layer Palette.
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – hat tie-cp
Flood Fill White.
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – detail 3-cp.
Flood Fill #CB9F59(Click twice)

COOKIE TRAY
Click on tray-cp layer on Layer Palette.
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – tray-cp
Here we will use a liner gradient to Flood Fill with the following settings
Set colors to:
Foreground #808080
Background White
Click on foreground color swatch
Select the Gradient tab

• Select the Foreground-background from drop down
• Style Liner (first one)
• Angle 340
• Repeat 1

COOKIES
Click on cookies-cp layer on Layer Palette.
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – detail 4-cp.
Flood Fill #202020
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – cookies-cp
Flood Fill #F9E7CD
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – detail 5-cp.
Flood Fill #CB9F59

SPOON
Click on spoon-cp layer on Layer Palette.
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – spoon-cp
Flood Fill #CB9F59
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – detail 6-cp.
Flood Fill #400000(Click twice)

You may delete background layer (bottom layer), merge visible and SAVE!
