This tutorial uses a different technique.  You will only see the canvas in the downloaded file.  Everything you need is on the canvas.  Make sure you have your Layer Palette visible.  You will Load from the Alpha Channel (not Selections).

Download Supplies HERE 

GINGERBREAD BASE
Please go HERE and complete the base for all the gingerbread series.
Have the image open and ready to use along with the open canvas for this tutorial.

Duplicate (Shift D) and close original to save for another use.
Save in PSP format and name as you wish.

I left a background layer.
You may want to flood fill to help you see better.
You can delete this layer before merging.
Have you Layer Palette open

GINGERBREAD
Click on gb base-cp layer on Layer Palette.
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – gb base-cp
Click on the premade base image (Ctrl C) to copy.
Click back on the gingerbread base layer of the new image (Ctrl+Shift+L) to paste into selection.

DRESS
Click on dress-cp layer on Layer Palette.
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – dress-cp
Flood Fill #F0EBE4
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – detail1-cp
Adjust Brightness/Contrast (Shift+B)

  • Brightness (-125)
  • Contrast 75
SAVE

CAP
Click on cap-cp layer on Layer Palette.
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – cap-cp
Flood Fill #F0EBE4
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – detail2-cp
Adjust Brightness/Contrast (Shift+B) - Same settings
SAVE

BANDAGE
Click on bandage-cp layer on Layer Palette.
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – bandage-cp
Flood Fill #E3CABD
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – detail3-cp
Adjust Brightness/Contrast

  • Brightness (-85)
  • Contrast 75
SAVE

SHOT
Click on shot1-cp layer on Layer Palette.
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – shot1-cp
Flood Fill #C0C0C0
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – detail4-cp
Adjust Brightness/Contrast

  • Brightness (-100)
  • Contrast 25
Click on shot2-cp layer on Layer Palette.
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – shot2-cp
Flood Fill #C0C0C0
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – detail5-cp
Flood Fill Black (Click twice)
Select None (Ctrl+D) Adjust Brightness/Contrast
  • Brightness (-255)
  • Contrast 0
SAVE

You may delete background layer (bottom layer), merge visible and SAVE!
