This tutorial uses a different
technique. You will only see the canvas in the downloaded file.
Everything you need is on the canvas. Make sure you have your Layer
Palette visible. You will Load from the Alpha Channel (not Selections).
Download
Supplies HERE
Duplicate (Shift D) and close original to save for another use.
Save in PSP format and name as you wish.
I left a background layer.
You may want to flood fill to help you see better.
You can delete this layer before merging.
Have you Layer Palette open
GINGERBREAD BASE
Please go HERE and complete the base for all the gingerbread series.
Have the image open and ready to use along with the open canvas for this tutorial.

GINGERBREAD
Click on gbread base layer on Layer Palette.
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – ggbread-cp
Click on the base image (Ctrl C) to copy.
Click back on the gingerbread santa image (Ctrl+Shift+L) to paste into selection.
BAG
Click on front bag-cp layer on Layer Palette.
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – bag-cp.
Flood Fill #C00000.
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – detail 2-cp.
Flood Fill #400000
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – bow-cp.
Flood Fill #6E0000.
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – detail 3-cp.
Flood Fill #400000 & #67B3A4
HAT
Click on hat-cp layer on Layer Palette.
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – hat-cp.
Flood Fill #C00000.
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – detail 4-cp.
Flood Fill #400000.
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – hat trim-cp.
Flood Fill White.
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – detail 5-cp.
Flood Fill Black (Click several times).
CANDY CANE
Click on candy cane-cp layer on Layer Palette.
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – candy cane1-cp.
Flood Fill White.
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – candy cane2-cp.
Flood Fill #C00000.
Selections – Load from Alpha Channel – detail 6-cp.
Flood Fill #400000(Click several times).
You may delete background layer (bottom layer), merge visible and SAVE!
