I made the grass in another program. I went ahead and uploaded it in the tube area under Landscaping
This tutorial was written on April 9,2005 using PSP version 9, but you should be able to do it in other versions if you are familiar with the program.
Selections have been provided on a canvas using Alpha Channels for the outline of this tutorial. You may get the supplies HERE
You may use your own colors. I will provide the colors I used.
I left a background layer for you to flood fill if you would like to help you see better. You will probably want to magnify to help you see.
Shades 1
Click on shades1-cp layer on Layer Palette
Selections - Load from Alpha Channels - shades1-cp
Flood Fill: #a60606
Select None (Ctrl+D)
Use Magic Wand to select inside ear pieces
- Versions below 8: Hold down Shift key to select more than one area.
- Versions 8 & 9 use Mode: Add
Flood Fill: #d80808 or lighter color of outline color
Shades 2
Click on shades2-cp layer on Layer Palette
Selections - Load from Alpha Channels - shades2-cp
Flood Fill: #a60606
Select None (Ctrl+D)
Use Magic Wand to select inside frame of shades
Flood Fill: #d80808 or lighter color of outline color
Use Magic Wand to select inside shades area for colored lens part.
New Raster Layer
Flood Fill: #606060 with an Opacity of 30
You may delect background layer
You may delect background layer
Right click on any of the layers - Merge Visible
Selections - Load from Alpha Channels - ball4-cp
Adjust - Brightness/Contrast
- Brightness: -100
- Contrast: 50
